this video

When I got married in 2009, it was a quick civil ceremony at Home Affairs.  I never got a father-daughter dance, and I most likely never will.

But my father is at least still alive.

This video.  I have no words to describe it.  No words to explain the emotions in it.

Just watch it.

Here.

P.S.:  have some tissues handy.

  1. What a classy and thoughtful move. It proves it takes many men to take the place of a girl’s daddy. It also reinforces every father’s desire to at least live to his little girl’s big day.

My dad died nearly 12 years ago when I was 20. I will also never have that dance and the song “butterfly kisses” always brings tears to my eyes. I couldn’t watch the entire video.

    Thanks for a nice blog!

    1. It got extremely emotional when it got to the part in the song about the girl’s wedding day. That’s when my tears really started falling.

I’m so very sorry for your loss.

      And, likewise 🙂
